Not trying to sound like a dick or be one, I am genuinely curious, maybe link a good tutorial vid if you got one on the Copy pasta. To get the same and more comprehensive instrument pack as Bandlab it'll cost you. Secondly, where are you finding all these " free" instruments in cake walk ? its got a piano and a drumkit, that's it. I think it's deeper than that, but thats just my jaded opinion as I was at one time a fruity loops user and then out of the blue they want $150. This is why I don't think it's just little things that people are doing wrong. Computer has 8 gig ram and 32 gig optane, it's like having 40 gig ram. I have also changed my interwebs so that I have more upload speed, I am now 75 down and 25 up. What gives? Note I only monitor 1 track at a time while recording another instrument. What happens is let's say I put down a drum track, I add another track like a guitar, now I go to record the guitar track, I have the drum track playing in my monitor, everything is going good and sounds good, then I listen to it and it is off beat and sounds like shit.
So I use a boss katana MKII as my in for my guitar signal along with it Boss tone studio as the tone and effects control, then I have a novation Launchkey mini for my Keys and drum pads / mixes.
